Botegga Louie

If there are a few things you should know about me, one thing is that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE FOOD! I believe that food is the way to ones heart, especially if the type of food is any of my top ten favorite things:

{just to name a few}

1. Sweets that are not too sweet, but just right. (the perfect macaroon = vanilla or hazelnut from Botegga Louie or madagascar vanilla from Bouchon)

2. Japanese Tenuki Udon with Spicy Tuna Bowl (Fukada in Irvine)

3. Torpedo Sub (Guilliano’s in Torrance)

4. Scrambled Egg over Beef and Rice (Sam Wo in San Francisco)

5. Cajun Style Blackened Chicken (The Gumbo Shop in New Orleans)

About a month ago, the truly talented Tarek Kholaki from the Sugar & Fluff team took me to Botegga Louie. Once I stepped foot into this beautiful bustling restaurant I was taken away. Tall white ceilings, gorgeous desserts and a sleek atmosphere took my breath away. I am definitely not a fan of artichokes but the Chicken Carffacio is a winner! It was perfect in every way that pleased my taste buds. But the perfect ending to any meal…. dessert! At the front bakery counter were darling little macaroons. Indeed I did get the vanilla and hazelnut and ate both without hesitation (proceeding with two more). Delicious!

I would HIGHLY suggest Botegga Louie in Downtown Los Angeles for lunch or dinner as I hear the restaurant at night is even more beautiful than the day.

Bon Appetit!

Debbie & Andy {Wedding}

4th of July is in the AIR! How do I know this? A full parking lot at the market, people trying to get out of town (meaning me in traffic everywhere) and the warm summer heat beaming down on me!

My first wedding of the year was at the Sheraton in La Jolla for Debbie and Andy. Although it was on May 14, 2010, I wanted to take the time today to share pictures from their wedding photographed by Siri Sudweeks.

The wedding took place on a beautiful Saturday afternoon as Debbie and Andy exchanged vows in front of their 96 guest wedding. They had a splendid spring wedding with bright colors of teal, mint green and orange. It was truly a fun wedding for the couple and the guests, and Robin and I had the chance to sit back and have a few laughs with the guests.

Congrats again Debbie and Andy!

Jenn & Daniel {e-shoot}

Happy Sunday!

It’s a beautiful day outside and as I am preparing to go for a run I thought I would post one of my couple’s engagement photo shoots captured by Youkeun Oh Photography. The photo shoot was taken a few weekends ago, and I had the pleasure of joining the team to help style and pick a few locations for the shoot. Jenn and Daniel are an amazing couple with a great personality and a sense of style!

In the meantime, I thought I would also share some updates with myself and upcoming happenings with CCLEO Weddings and Special Events:

- The wedding side gets a short break between now and August before the wedding start coming at full force. I’m especially excited for the month of October where we have two weekends with back-to-back weddings on both Saturday and Sunday.

- I’ve recently been approved by the amazing Jenn Campbell of Green Wedding Shoes as one of their Resource Vendors!

- Crossing our fingers for a wedding publication :)

- I’m beginning to start my training for the 2010 Nike Women’s Marathon in San Francisco in October! This will be my 5th year running the race!

- Check out the website www.catherinecindyleo.com as we updated the gallery with Angie & Grant’s scholarly wedding.

Enjoy the photos! Have a blessed day!

Angie & Grant - The Wedding

Hello everyone! I know I missed a week a blogging, so I am here to post on Angie and Grant’s wedding once again! I received photos from the Youkeun Oh of Youkeun Oh Photography a few weeks ago and cannot stop becoming bright-eyed at all the photos and details he was able to capture. Take a look for yourself and maybe leave some love (comments)! Have a beautiful day!

Journals were used as “escort cards” as each jacket was designed with each guest name and table number.

Each table included a set of four glass cylinders that were wrapped in vellum with the couple’s favorite bible verses. A special touch that had so much meaning to the couple.

I absolutely had so much fun creating this mustache bar!

The groom is from San Francisco, so what better than to have a salt water taffy station as it is a must have item at the Fisherman’s Wharf!

CONGRATS MR. AND MRS. GRANT LEE!

Le Moustache Bar

What a beautiful Sunday!

At a wedding last week the bride had requested the ever-so-famous classic mustache for her “photobooth.” As I was creating the mustaches out of to-go chopsticks and black cardstock I thought it would be even more interesting to create a Mustache Bar, with the option of four different mustaches!

Check out the pictures and let me know your thoughts :)

And I thought I would just stick this in there too! The “Just Married” sign from Angie and Grant’s getaway car!

Angie & Grant - The Wedding

I’ve been trying my best to keep up with the posts! I had a wonderful weekend watching the marriage of the lovely Angie Cho and Grant Lee in front of 180 of their friends and family members in Pasadena at the First Baptist Church. Their scholarly-themed wedding reception was held at the Music Center at the Dorothy Chandler Hall. Vintage books, antique pocket watches, different shaped and sized mustaches are only some of trinkets and items at their wedding. I have some photos from my camera to share but am excited to see the photos that photographer Youkeun Oh took that evening.

CONGRATS ANGIE AND GRANT!

Here’s a small peek into their May 29th Wedding!

Vintage books provided by the bride, glass cylinders wrapped with the couple’s favorite bible versus and vintage pocket watches from my dad’s own collection!

One of the bridemaid’s bouquets

I love these pocket watches!

The escort cards were cobalt blue journals that we had purchased from several different Border Bookstores.

Does the name look familiar ;)

A little creation of my own… “LE MOUSTACHE” bar! I’ll have more detailed photos of this later on.

What would a Korean wedding be without “dduk”

Room shot!

Lastly, I leave you with a photo of us all! I cannot imagine the evening without these two ladies by my side, Robin Kim and Connie Wong!

Sneak Peek: Debbie & Andy’s Wedding

Here’s a sneak peek into Debbie and Andy’s wedding this past weekend. I am excited to see the photos from San Diego based photographer Siri Suweeks, and will surely share them with you.

Happy Viewing!

The cocktail hour was filled with varying size lanterns that added lots of color to the area!

The groom LOVES golf (he even started his morning with a game of golf pre-ceremony) and their ever-so-sweet father created this miniature golf course. Each golf ball was monogrammed with the couples logo and each tag was an escort card.

Angie’s Bridal Shower

I had a wonderful weekend in San Diego this past weekend while working on my first wedding for the 2010 year! Congratulations to the newlywed couple, Debbie and Andy. The two wedded in San Diego at the Sheraton in La Jolla this past Saturday in front of a 100 person wedding. Can’t wait to show you all the details for their intimate spring themed wedding.

Instead, I wanted to share a few photos from one of my dear client’s bridal shower a month ago hosted by her beautiful bridesmaids. I was honored to attend this event with Robin and meet all of Angie’s wonderful friends at Alcove Cafe and Bakery. It’s such a cute and dainty place perfect with a bungalow for private events.

Looking forward to Angie’s scholarly-themed wedding just two weeks away!

Engagement Shoot {Angie & Grant}

Another exciting engagement shoot to share with you all :)

I have the utmost pleasure to be working with Angie and Grant on their May wedding just weeks away! Their overall fun and scholarly-themed wedding reception at the Los Angeles Music Center truly captures the couple’s personality, lifestyle and relationship. I can’t wait to share the photos for you after their wedding! These beautiful photos were taken by the one and only Los Angeles based photographer, Youkeun Oh (so excited to be working with him on three weddings this year).

On another exciting note… my first wedding for 2010 is next week and I am pumped and ready for another year filled with memorable and everlasting wedding events that I am more than honored to be apart of with all of my clients. My month of September and October are completely packed with weddings (6 weddings in 4 weeks), and I am cannot be more thrilled!

Enjoy the photos on Youkeun Oh’s blog!

Engagement Shoot *Chihye & Tom*

Hello, hello! I know I have not been a loyal blogger in the past few months but I do promise lots of more posts more often than ever before! I plan to share inspirations, real weddings, honeymoon hot spots and lots of posts that will warm the heart!

On another loving note… one of my absolutely darling couples had their engagement shoot a few weeks ago with the ever-so-talented Christine Farah! I love Christine’s style and creative eye, and she truly knows how to really let Chihye and Tom’s love show through their photos.

Here’s a few photos, but check out Christine’s website for more!
